Loving hairstyling for as long as I can remember, I have always been the person that family and friends would come to when they needed their hair done for an event or special occasion. In 2013 I decided to turn that love into a career. Attending Paul Mitchell the School Rhode Island, I made the dean's list, completed the honors program, and earned an honorable mention in the 2015 Beacon styling competition, winning a trip to the Professional Beauty Association's "Beauty Week" in Las Vegas, Nevada. While there I attended the American Hairstyling Awards and other events with the opportunity to pick the brains of the industry's highest profile salon owners, professionals and stylists!
Balayage and special occasion styling remain some of my favorite ways to work with hair. Working at Ananda since 2014 has been nothing short of amazing because of every stylists' genuine love of hair, love of what they do, and love of sharing their knowledge to help make each other better.
I have a strong passion for music and film, love getting tickets to a concert with friends and family, and love drawing inspiration for hair from artists of yesterday and today. I truly think of and view hairstyling as an art form. Said best by French Artist Edgar Degas, “Art is not what you see, but what you make others see.” I believe that each person is a work of art! There is beauty that lies within us all, and I strive with each client to help them see it within themselves.
